Purchasing Administrator

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our Cresting Operations & Administration team to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is a full-time, permanent role reporting into the Crested Administration & Operations Purchasing Team Leader. In this role, you’ll make sure the business has everything it needs to operate day-to-day—from placing orders to working with suppliers and supporting different teams across the site. It’s a varied role where no two days are quite the same, and you’ll have a real impact on how efficiently things run.

What you’ll be doing

Raising and managing purchase orders for operational teams
Keeping systems and records up to date and compliant
Helping colleagues across the business with purchasing queries
Supporting reporting, forecasting, and data analysis
Chasing and resolving supplier issues (deliveries, quality, payments)
Keeping an eye on the Goods Received Notice process to make sure everything matches up
Looking for ways to save costs and improve how we work
Supporting supplier negotiations and contracts
Carrying out checks on open purchase orders
Working with teams like Engineering and EHS on new products or trials

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’ll have:

Some experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar admin role
Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
A strong eye for detail and good organisational skills
Confidence communicating with different teams and suppliers
A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Bonus if you have:

Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
Knowledge of systems like AS400
Any experience with embroidery (helpful, but not essential!)
