Keep Europe’s field service operation running smoothly
At Biotage, our technologies help scientists solve real-world problems – from advancing healthcare to improving sustainability. Delivering that impact relies on well-coordinated, responsive and reliable field service support.
We are looking for a Service Coordinator to join our European Field Service Operations team. This is a key coordination role where you will help ensure our Field Service Engineers are deployed effectively, customers receive timely support, and our service operations run seamlessly across multiple countries.
You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team where communication, organisation and attention to detail make a real difference every day. If you enjoy bringing structure to busy environments and take pride in keeping things running efficiently, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing
As a Service Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our service operation, ensuring engineers, customers and internal teams stay connected.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and scheduling Field Service Engineers across Europe, making the best use of skills, location and availability.
Managing customer service requests and enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Creating, updating and closing service work orders within our service management systems.
Ensuring service activities are accurately completed and invoiced in a timely manner.
Maintaining accurate customer, equipment and service records.
Supporting the resolution of customer issues, escalating where appropriate.
Working closely with engineers, technical specialists, sales teams and other internal stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Identifying opportunities to improve service coordination processes and ways of working.
What you’ll bring
You’ll likely have experience in a coordination, scheduling or service administration role, ideally within a technical, engineering or field service environment. What matters most is your ability to stay organised, communicate clearly, and keep multiple priorities moving at once.
You’ll be confident speaking with customers and colleagues, with a professional and calm telephone manner. You’ll also have a strong eye for detail, a structured approach to your work, and the ability to make sensible decisions when things are moving quickly.
Good IT skills are important, and experience with systems such as Salesforce or ServiceMax would be an advantage.
What success looks like
In this role you'll know you're making a difference when:
Engineers are scheduled efficiently, maximising productivity across Europe.
Customers receive prompt, professional and reliable support.
Service records and invoicing are completed accurately and on time.
Strong working relationships are built with customers and colleagues.
Service operations run smoothly, helping our engineers deliver an outstanding customer experience.
