Overview
We are excited to announce an opening for an Apprentice to join our team. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in various areas of our timber frame production operations. This position offers hands-on training and growth potential within our organisation. You will have just left school and be attending college and will possess GCSE's or be prepared to obtain these with further studies. You will be enrolled with NLTR (North Lancs Training Group) and all training will take place at our workshop. A tutor will visit periodically to assess progress and set new tasks. All work will be done at our premises and you will not be required to attend college on day release. Duties
- Assist in the fast paced manufacturing of timber frame house kits involving heavy lifting activities
- Fabricate and assemble components under the guidance of experienced professionals
- Learn to operate hand tools effectively and safely
- Learn to read drawings using our on bench IPads
- Support team members in various production tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE or be prepared to study these in the apprenticeship
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop skills in a manufacturing environment
- Keen interest in working with wood in the joinery or carpentry industry
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
- Willingness to engage in physical tasks that involve heavy lifting
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
