The Role:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to operate a bin wagon (refuse collection vehicle). You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste materials, working as part of a small team to complete daily routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and operating a bin wagon safely and efficiently
- Completing scheduled collection routes in a timely manner
- Working alongside loaders to collect commercial and/or domestic waste
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations
- Maintaining a high level of customer service when interacting with clients
- Keeping paperwork and records accurate and up to date
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience driving refuse vehicles (preferred but not essential)
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
