Full-time – 45 Contracted hours per week

Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort is one of Lancashire’s premier venues for weddings, events, and conferences. Our stunning AA 4 Silver Star property offers 86 bedrooms and multiple event spaces capable of hosting up to 400 guests.

We are currently seeking a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to support the operational delivery of our events and ensure the highest standards of service are maintained. You will work closely with the Conference & Banqueting Management and be responsible for leading and supervising a team of staff during events, ensuring seamless execution and a memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities – Conference & Banqueting Supervisor

Lead and supervise conference, banqueting, wedding, and event operations to ensure smooth, professional service and delivery.
Coordinate and oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of events in line with company standards and client requirements.
Brief, delegate, and support team members during shifts and events to maintain high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
Act as the main point of contact during events, responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any issues efficiently.
Act as Master of Ceremonies for weddings and special events where required, ensuring timelines are followed, making announcements, coordinating suppliers, and maintaining the smooth flow of the event.
Work closely with the Conference & Banqueting Management team, Kitchen, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
Monitor service standards, presentation, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance throughout all event spaces.
Assist with staff training and coaching to promote excellent customer service.
Ensure all function rooms are prepared according to event specifications, including layouts, equipment, and timings.
Support stock control, equipment checks, and the maintenance of departmental resources.
Complete relevant administrative duties, including event reports, shift handovers, and incident documentation where required.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude while creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience.
Support the management team in achieving departmental targets, service standards, and operational objectives.

About You

Previous experience in a Conference & Banqueting, Events, or Hospitality supervisory role.
Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities during busy events.
A proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and varying shift patterns as required by the business.
Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene standards within hospitality operations.
Confident in handling guest queries and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
A team player who can build positive working relationships across departments.
Enthusiastic, professional, and committed to maintaining high service standards at all times.
