Full job description

Are you an organised and proactive professional who enjoys ensuring smooth, efficient operations?

Our well-established family business is seeking a Facilities and HSE Assistant to support our day-to-day operations and uphold the high standards our team expect.

This is an exciting opportunity where your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to the comfort, safety, and functionality of our facilities.

Responsibilities :

Act as the initial point of contact for day-to-day facilities issues raised onsite
Carry out regular inspections of offices, warehouses, welfare facilities, plant rooms and external grounds
Perform minor maintenance tasks where appropriate and arrange contractor support when required
Coordinate contractor visits and ensure access requirements and inductions are completed
Ensure accurate documentation of all facilities activities, covering service reports and planned maintenance schedules
Supporting the Facilities & HSE Manager in ensuring a safe working environment by carrying out weekly / monthly audits and testing.
Ensuring all HSE occurrences are recorded and assisting in implementing preventative measures when required

Experience Required:

Previous hands-on experience of facilities, maintenance or building services experience
Good practical problem-solving skills
Strong organisational and communication skills
Flexible and willing to undertake a varied workload
Reliable, professional and safety conscious
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence
