Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team in a care home in Carlton. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents alike. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is advantageous, but full training will be provided. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, according to established standards.
Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure all areas are tidy and hygienic.
Use cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively to achieve optimal results.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens or clothing.
Follow specific client or organisational instructions regarding cleaning procedures and schedules.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, nursing homes or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Reliability and punctuality are essential qualities for this role.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is desirable.
