Full job description

We're Alfred's Wood Fired Pizza — a small independent catering business based in Holmfirth, serving proper Neapolitan-style pizza at weddings, parties and corporate events all over.

If either of these sounds like you, please get in touch:

An experienced pizza chef who knows their way around dough and wants some casual event work.
A keen beginner with a great attitude who'd love to learn. No experience needed.

What you'll be doing:

Making pizzas. Exactly how depends on experience and your abilities, but there's always something to do at events.
Helping set up and pack down at events.
Slicing, serving and chatting to guests.

Who we're after:

Happy, friendly, can-do attitude,
Good at working quickly under a bit of friendly pressure.
A good listener and learner.
Reliable and punctual.
Comfortable talking to customers and being part of someone's big day.
Weekend (Specifically Saturday) availability.
A driving licence is a bonus, though not essential.

If you've got kitchen, hospitality or pizza experience, tell us about it. If you haven't, that's fine too, as long as you're keen to learn.

How the job role can work:

Depending on what works for you, we can either employe you on a self employed basis, or through PAYEE.
Rolled up holiday pay included.
We are mainly looking for someone for the remainder of 2026 summer events. However, we would love the right person to grow with us as we take on more and more and become part of our event team long term.
