About Juventus Academy London
Juventus Academy London brings the Juventus methodology and brand to youth football in the UK. We deliver high-quality coaching, development pathways, and elite experiences for young players, all while representing the values and visual identity of the Juventus world.
Role Overview
We are looking for an autonomous, creative, and sport-savvy Social Media Manager & Content Creator to lead our digital presence. The ideal candidate will have experience in the sports industry (ideally a football academy or similar), be comfortable working independently, and be available to attend pitches and events to capture high-quality photo and video content.
You will play a key role in promoting our trials, projects, and camps, growing engagement, and ensuring all content aligns with Juventus’ global brand and social media guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a content calendar aligned with academy activities: trials, camps, matchdays, player development stories, and community projects.
- Attend training sessions, fixtures, trials, and events to capture photos and video content on location.
- Create engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) and static posts for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
- Write compelling copy that promotes trials, camps, and key projects, with clear calls to action and strong conversion focus.
- Ensure all content follows Juventus brand guidelines for tone, visuals, logos, colours, and messaging.
- Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, sign-ups) and adapt content strategy to improve results.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach and academy staff to identify key stories, milestones, and promotional opportunities.
- Manage basic community engagement: responding to comments/DMs in line with brand voice and safeguarding policies.
- Support the design and promotion of digital campaigns for new intakes, seasonal camps, and special projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a social media manager / content creator, ideally within the sports industry (football academy, club, or sports brand strongly preferred).
- Strong portfolio showing short-form video skills, Reels/TikTok editing, and on-location content creation.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage your own time, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and availability to attend on-pitch sessions across London (evenings and weekends as needed).
- Excellent understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook algorithms and best practices.
- Strong copywriting skills with a focus on promoting trials, projects, and camps and driving conversions.
- Good eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling in both photo and video.
- Understanding of safeguarding and privacy considerations when filming minors.
- Familiarity with basic editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Rush, Lightroom, Canva).
Desirable
- Experience working with or for a football academy, grassroots club, or sports organisation.
- Knowledge of the Juventus brand, its visual identity, and social media style.
- Basic graphic design skills and ability to create simple assets (flyers, story templates, etc.).
- Experience running paid social campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads) to promote events and sign-ups.
Hours & Work Pattern
- Hours will vary based on projects, campaigns, and results.
- Expect a mix of:
- On-site filming at training sessions, trials, and matchdays.
- Off-site editing, planning, and posting.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when key content opportunities arise.
What We Offer
- A great challenge working within the Juventus world and representing a globally recognised brand.
- Creative freedom within clear brand guidelines to shape the academy’s digital identity.
- Opportunity to make a visible impact on growth, trial sign-ups, and camp participation.
- Flexible, project-based arrangement with potential to scale involvement as the academy grows.
