Willow Alexander Gardeners is looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Hard Landscaper & Property Works Lead to join our Landscape and Special Projects team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move confidently between premium residential garden builds, hard landscaping, small property maintenance works, handyman bookings and practical build/improvement projects at our depot.
You will be working across our residential garden design and build projects, helping bring outdoor spaces to life from groundwork and structure through to final finishes. Alongside this, you will support our wider House of Willow Alexander services by completing property maintenance jobs, small works and internal/external repairs for clients.
This role would suit someone practical, reliable and experienced who takes pride in doing things properly — someone who can read a plan, solve problems on site, manage their time, communicate well with clients, and help maintain the standard expected of a premium home and garden brand.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting and delivering a range of works across residential properties, including:
Hard Landscaping & Garden Build Works
- Paving, patios, pathways and stonework
- Fencing, gates, trellis and boundary works
- Decking, timber structures and garden features
- Raised beds, sleeper work, edging and walling
- Drainage, irrigation support and basic water feature installation
- Turfing, soil preparation and planting support
- Garden rooms, sheds, pergolas and outdoor structures
- Finishing, snagging and detailing on premium garden projects
- Working from design drawings, briefs and site instructions
Multi-Trade & Property Maintenance
- General handyman and property maintenance works
- Interior and exterior repairs
- Basic carpentry and making good
- Painting, decorating and finishing works
- Minor plumbing, fixing, fitting and installation tasks where appropriate
- Repairs, adjustments and practical problem-solving for residential clients
- Supporting small works across homes, gardens and outbuildings
Depot & Internal Build Works
- Supporting improvements, repairs and build works at our Sidcup depot
- Helping organise tools, materials and storage areas
- Building or adapting practical systems for the team
- Assisting with stock, materials, workshops and operational improvements
- Keeping workspaces tidy, safe and functional
Site & Client Management
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients on site
- Working closely with the office, design team and operations team
- Taking photos, updating job notes and using our internal systems
- Managing time, tools and materials effectively
- Supporting other team members and helping maintain high standards
- Identifying issues early and escalating them before they become problems
- Ensuring work is completed safely, neatly and to a high standard
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with strong practical experience who is comfortable working across both landscaping and general property works.
You should be someone who is:
- Experienced in hard landscaping and garden construction
- Skilled across a range of practical trades
- Comfortable working on premium residential properties
- Confident with both exterior and interior works
- Able to read and follow plans, drawings and written briefs
- Good at problem-solving on site
- Reliable, organised and punctual
- Able to communicate well with clients and the office team
- Comfortable taking photos, updating systems and completing checklists
- Hard-working, flexible and willing to turn your hand to different tasks
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proud of the standard and finish of your work
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in hard landscaping, garden build or multi-trade property works
- Good knowledge of hard landscaping methods and materials
- Experience with tools, site work, materials and practical construction tasks
- Ability to complete high-quality finishing and snagging works
- Strong communication skills
- Good time management
- Confidence working in client homes and gardens
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to use job management systems, phone apps, checklists and digital tools
- Right to work in the UK

Working Location
Our head office and depot are based in Sidcup, where the team starts and finishes the working day.
You will then travel to client sites across London, Kent and the surrounding areas depending on the project schedule.
