Role Description The Design Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater Nottingham. The Design Assistant will support the design team with the creation and development of character and branded sock concepts, preparing artwork and technical specifications for production. Day-to-day tasks include working with the adobe suite, assisting with graphic design layouts, preparing mood boards, and maintaining internal PLM systems.
The role involves collaborating with internal teams and customers to interpret briefs, adapt designs to market and licensing requirements, and ensure that products meet brand and quality standards. The Design Assistant will also help with sample coordination, basic trend research, and general administrative support for the design department.
Qualifications
- Relevant education or training in fashion design, textile design, graphic design, or a related field
- Proficiency with adobe creative suite - must be well versed with adobe illustrator.
- Show awareness of commercial handwriting
- Candidates should possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow design processes from concept to production.
- Skills to analyse and monitor trends relevant to our products.
- Ability to work on-site in Greater Nottingham, manage multiple tasks, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in licensing environments is an advantage.
