Full job description

How High Brands is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team on a part-time basis.

We are seeking someone who is meticulous, conscientious, and highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping financial records precise, organised, and up to date.

Role Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration
Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, payments, and receipts
Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring company accounts
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Assisting with VAT returns and monthly reporting
Monitoring cash flow and highlighting discrepancies
Liaising with suppliers and handling finance-related queries
Supporting accountants with year-end preparation
General administrative support related to finance operations

Experience & Skills Required

Previous experience in a bookkeeping, accounts assistant, or finance administration role
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
Experience managing invoices, reconciliations, and expense tracking
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Highly organised with the ability to manage workload independently
Professional, reliable, and trustworthy
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information
Knowledge of Xero is an advantage, but not essential, as training can be provided
Experience working within a small business or fast-paced environment would be beneficial

Working Hours

Part-time: 3–4 days per week
Approximately 12–16 hours per week
Flexible working arrangements may be considered
