About Us
Predictive Clicks Ltd is a profitable, high-growth business operating well-established product comparison platforms.
The business currently generates strong, growing revenue from paid traffic. We are now moving into the next stage of our development: building a direct, owned relationship with our audience through email, content and community.
This role is central to that transition.
We are looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to build our email programme from the ground up. There is no inherited platform to maintain and no existing strategy to simply continue. This is a clean-slate opportunity for someone who wants to own the strategy, infrastructure, content model and commercial direction of a new channel inside an already profitable business.
The Role
The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and scaling our email marketing function from scratch.
You will assess the opportunity, recommend the right platform and tooling, build the core infrastructure, define the email strategy and start growing and monetising the audience from day one.
This role works closely with the Social & Content Media Manager. Social and content will help build reach and capture audience interest; email will turn that audience into a retained, owned and monetisable channel.
The right person will be both strategic and hands-on. You should be comfortable defining the big picture, but also able to build flows, plan campaigns, test subject lines, analyse performance and make decisions quickly.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Infrastructure
- Audit our current position and identify the opportunity for email as an owned audience channel.
- Recommend the right email platform, tooling and infrastructure for the business.
- Own the implementation of the chosen email platform and supporting systems.
- Define the email strategy from the ground up, including segmentation, send cadence, content mix, personalisation and monetisation approach.
- Build the core email marketing infrastructure needed to support long-term list growth and revenue generation.
- Establish the reporting framework for the channel, including list growth, open rates, click rates, engagement, revenue attribution and unsubscribe rates.
- Provide clear strategic recommendations on where the channel should go next.
List Building & Audience Growth
- Work closely with the Social & Content Media Manager to turn social audience growth into email sign-ups.
- Design the capture mechanics, incentives and user journeys needed to convert followers and site visitors into subscribers.
- Identify and implement on-site capture opportunities across existing paid traffic and high-traffic pages.
- Test and optimise sign-up forms, lead magnets, pop-ups, placements and messaging.
- Develop segmentation strategies based on subscriber behaviour, interests and engagement.
- Build a list growth engine that compounds over time and reduces reliance on external platforms.
Automation & Customer Journeys
- Build automated email flows that capture, nurture and retain subscribers.
- Create welcome sequences, nurture campaigns, re-engagement flows and promotional cadences.
- Develop audience journeys that balance editorial value, product recommendations and commercial opportunities.
- Use data to improve automation performance over time.
- Ensure automated flows feel relevant, useful and trustworthy to subscribers.
Content & Monetisation
- Define and own the content model for the email channel.
- Decide the right balance of editorial content, product recommendations, audience engagement and commercial messaging.
- Write, brief and quality-control email content that gets opened, read and acted on.
- Work with the Social & Content Media Manager and internal design team to create emails that are on-brand, credible and built to perform.
- Own the execution of commercial email activity, including advertising, sponsorship and promotional placements.
- Work with the accounts team, who will source and sell commercial opportunities, to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and in a way that maintains audience trust.
- Continuously test and improve subject lines, content formats, send times, segmentation, personalisation and calls to action.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Social & Content Media Manager as part of one joined-up owned audience strategy.
- Work with the internal design team to ensure email creative is consistent with the wider brand identity.
- Collaborate with accounts and performance teams where commercial opportunities or audience insights overlap.
- Report directly to senior leadership with clear performance updates and a strategic view of where the channel is heading.
- Build structure, process and momentum around a new but important revenue channel.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who has built, scaled or significantly improved email marketing programmes before.
You should be commercially minded, analytical and confident making recommendations. You should also have strong instincts for copy, content and audience value. This role is not just about sending newsletters; it is about building an owned audience channel that can become a meaningful revenue stream for the business.
Essential Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in email marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing or a closely related role.
- Track record of building and scaling email programmes, not just managing inherited campaign calendars.
- Experience selecting, implementing and optimising email marketing platforms.
- Strong understanding of email strategy, segmentation, automation and audience growth.
- Experience building automated flows, including welcome sequences, nurture campaigns, re-engagement flows and promotional cadences.
- Proven ability to grow an email list and turn that growth into measurable commercial output.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with performance data.
- Ability to identify what is and is not working, and act quickly to improve results.
- Strong copywriting instinct, with an understanding of what makes an email get opened, read and clicked.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to build structure where none currently exists.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in consumer publishing, ecommerce, affiliate marketing or product comparison environments.
- Experience working with audiences generated through content, social media or paid traffic.
- Familiarity with audience segmentation at scale.
- Experience tailoring content and offers based on subscriber behaviour, preferences or purchase intent.
- Experience working alongside social media, content or performance marketing teams.
- Understanding of how email fits within a broader owned audience and monetisation strategy.
- Experience with sponsorships, newsletter advertising, partner promotions or commercially funded email content.
- Experience with platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, HubSpot or similar.
What Success Looks Like
Within 12 months, success in this role would mean:
- The email platform has been selected, implemented and is fully operational.
- A clear email strategy is in place, including segmentation, cadence, content model and monetisation approach.
- The email list is growing consistently through defined capture mechanics across site and social.
- Automated flows are live, including welcome, nurture and re-engagement sequences.
- Email is generating measurable revenue contribution.
- Clear reporting is in place across list size, engagement, clicks, revenue and subscriber health.
- Email and social are operating as one joined-up owned audience system.
- The business has a direct audience relationship that compounds over time.
What We Offer
- Full autonomy to build the email programme your way.
- Ownership over platform choice, strategy, content model and commercial approach.
- A senior role with direct influence on a new and important revenue channel.
- The opportunity to build something from scratch within an already profitable, growing business.
- A close working partnership with the Social & Content Media Manager.
- Collaborative in-house creative support from design and video teams.
- Full-time office-based role in Kelham Island, Sheffield.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
