Full job description

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our SGN site in Newbridge, Edinburgh, supporting our new business win. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll lead a close-knit team of three, overseeing two Stores Operatives and working closely with a Cluster Operative who provides support across the wider network. You'll be responsible for delivering daily customer requirements, achieving contractual KPIs and SLAs, and creating a high-performing team through effective leadership, communication, and development.

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Understand the forecast and actual volumes each day while assisting planning of resources appropriately with close liaison with the Cluster Manager
Ability to identify problems and take decisive actions to resolve them using in-house policy or operational procedures where required
Take preventative steps including regular checks on processes to ensure stock is protected and the opportunity for theft or loss is reduced
Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained in line with company guidelines while full supporting the team in the ‘road to Zero’

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous experience in managing a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment is essential
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); prior working knowledge of DLX is advantageous
Ability to embrace change and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
