Animal Nursing Assistant
Location: Drove Vets - Marlborough Branch
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 9.30am-6.30pm
1:3 Saturdays at the Main hospital 9am-5pm

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and hardworking Animal Nursing Assistant to join our busy and supportive veterinary practice. This is a varied role that combines hands-on animal care with reception duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with both animals and people.
As part of our dedicated team, you will help provide excellent patient care while also delivering a warm and professional experience for our clients.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Animal Care & Clinical Support
- Assisting with the care and welfare of patients
- Cleaning and preparing kennels, wards, and clinical areas
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control
- Supporting the nursing team with patient handling and restraint
- Preparing equipment and supplies for procedures
- Assisting with stock management and housekeeping duties
Reception & Client Care
- Welcoming clients and their pets to the practice
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Booking appointments and managing the practice diary
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Providing excellent customer service and support to clients
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for animal welfare
- Enjoys working with both animals and people
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Is reliable, organised, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Works well as part of a team and can also use their own initiative
- Has good attention to detail and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- Previous experience in a veterinary practice, animal care setting, or customer-facing role would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate

Pay: £24,072.16-£28,199.25 per year

Work Location: In person
