About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor within the Transformation Service, you will play a vital role in providing quantity surveying and cost management services for the design and construction of a variety of capital projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

Lead cost planning and forecasting for capital projects, ensuring budgets are accurate and risks are managed.
- Use digital tools and data-driven insights to improve efficiency and transparency.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and external partners to deliver sustainable, high-quality outcomes.
- Drive value engineering and innovative solutions to maximise impact for our community.

- Work on projects that make a real difference to local communities.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a local authority or public sector environment.
- In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS) is desirable but not essential.
