Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forest and Garden Machinery Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of groundscare, forest, and garden machinery. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to outdoor equipment maintenance and servicing. Duties
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on various types of groundscare, forest, and garden machinery, garden tractors, lawnmowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, robotic mowers etc.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, blade sharpening, and part replacements
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and servicing
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
- Ensure all machinery is maintained to safety standards and operates efficiently
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in servicing outdoor power equipment or similar machinery
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience with garden machinery and groundcare equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or equipment maintenance are advantageous but not essential
- A valid driving licence is preferred due to occasional travel requirements
