We are seeking a Development Delivery Officer to join our Planning Team, to assist officers in providing an efficient and effective Development Management service specifically supporting the delivery of approved new housing developments across the Borough.
You will support colleagues in providing an excellent service and making a difference within the local community. It is essential that you have a genuine enthusiasm for delivering high quality work, are self-motivated and enjoy working with and assisting colleagues within the Authority, the public and our partners.
The Planning Team is made up of 3 teams: (1) Development Management and enforcement; (2) Planning Policy; (3) Technical Administration. This role will be within the Development Management and enforcement team.
You will be handling a varied caseload to support the post-decision planning processes through to construction onsite, including the discharge of and compliance with planning conditions, and monitoring development on site to ensure that high quality development is delivered on site in a timely manner.
2 year Fixed Term Contract.
The successful candidate
Candidates from both the public and private sectors are encouraged to apply but must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and structure of local government.
Successful candidates will have knowledge of local government and be able to use databases and other software and have good written and verbal communication skills.
The role will be for a fixed term period of 2 years.
