We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Shared Interest Foundation team, we are continuing to expand our reach and enhance our impact and are now seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide maternity cover for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is to commence on 1st September 2026.
Shared Interest Foundation is a dynamic and mission-driven charity dedicated to the development of sustainable enterprises, empowering women and youth, and building climate resilience in remote communities within Africa and Latin America.
In this role, you will support and contribute to the Foundation’s growth by developing new projects to inform funding applications to support the restricted income target of the Foundation in line with the organisation’s mission and strategy.
Responsibilities include:
· Work with Foundation Manager and Project Officers in regions to develop potential new projects and new partners
· Responsible for the Grants and Trusts Fundraiser incumbent to ensure the objectives of this role are fulfilled. Support the Grants and Trusts Fundraiser to deliver effective grant management
· Provide oversight of the restricted fundraising process and support the Grants and Trusts Fundraiser to research, write and submit accurate and persuasive funding applications.
· Lead on development and submission of high-quality project reports, with support from the Grants and Trusts Fundraiser.
· Maintain and further develop strong partnerships with project partners and key stakeholders.
· Work collaboratively with the Membership and Volunteer Engagement Manager to maximise volunteer support in line with the Foundation’s Strategic Plan.
· Lead on the provision of project content for marketing and communication materials and work with the Marketing and Communications team to raise awareness of the Foundation through digital platforms and printed materials
· Take an active role in Foundation business planning and budget development
· Produce appropriate documentation including project status reports and support Foundation Manager to compile internal management and Board reports.
· Provide reports and input as required for communication materials, including QR and Annual Review.
· Support Foundation KPI monitoring and reporting.
About you
You will be an experienced project and fundraising professional with a strong track record in project development, grants and trusts fundraising, and delivering complex programmes from concept through to reporting. You will be an exceptional communicator who can build effective relationships with partners, donors, colleagues and beneficiaries across cultures and time zones, while producing clear, persuasive funding applications and high‑quality project reports. You will be organised, proactive and analytical, confident managing multiple priorities, budgets and deadlines, and comfortable contributing to strategic planning. A commitment to fair trade, international development, and the mission of Shared Interest is essential, along with the ability to work flexibly within a small, collaborative team, as well as providing line management support. A degree and or relevant experience in international development is a must and working knowledge of French or Spanish would be an advantage.
