Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining a safe and organised environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within logistics and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods
Managing inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations
Preparing orders through picking and packing items accurately for dispatch
Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods
Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
Performing heavy lifting tasks safely as required during stock movement or order fulfilment
Supporting maintenance of the warehouse environment to uphold health and safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in materials handling, stocking, or warehouse operations is advantageous
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail during picking, packing, and quality checks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
