Overview
We are seeking additional talented and passionate Pizzaiolo, Part Time or Full Time, to join our new and exciting brand ZaNapoli. We are opening a new flagship venue in Monkseaton and are looking to add some more quality to our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the art of pizza and have previously worked with a Wood Fired oven.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.
- Assist in the presentation of dishes, ensuring they are visually appealing before serving.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, with solid prior pizza chef experience.
- Strong pizza experience with previous experience of using a Wood Fired Oven.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
