Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented and computer proficient Office Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily administrative tasks, answering customer phone calls and emails, communicating with florists and corporate customers, and updating our computer system with attention to detail.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and proficiency in office software, with experience using databases. A knowledge and love of flowers is an advantage but training will be provided.
Duties
- Manage incoming customer calls and emails professionally and direct them appropriately
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office and Floristry specific software
- Communicate professionally with Corporate clients and provide appropriate advice and support
- Support bookkeeping activities including invoicing and expense tracking. Perform the cashing up on a daily basis
- Coordinate office supplies procurement and inventory management
- Ensure the smooth running of daily office operations by handling various clerical tasks
Requirements
- Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and desire to learn the use of new software
- Excellent typing speed and data entry accuracy
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and telephone systems

PLEASE NOTE:
Hours: 8am-5pm SATURDAY ONLY with holiday cover and additional hours during peak periods (Valentines, Mother's Day and Christmas)
Location: Admin staff are currently working from our location in town (NE1 4PG), however we will be moving at the end of summer to a new location in Gosforth - applicants need to be able to get to both locations
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
