Job Title: Spray Painter Foreman / Workshop Supervisor

We’re a small, family-run spraying business looking for a hands-on Spray Painter Foreman who can lead the workshop, keep quality high, and help run the day-to-day like it’s their own. You’ll be painting, managing, and problem-solving – not just clocking in and out.
Key Responsibilities
Spraying & Technical
Lead all spraying operations: automotive, joinery, or general metal finishing.
Operate and maintain spray guns, compressors, booths, and drying equipment.
Ensure finishes meet client specs and quality standards – minimal rework.
Team & Workshop Leadership
Supervise and train assistants. Set daily tasks and check work.
Plan job flow: schedule work, manage materials, and hit deadlines for customers.
Enforce health & safety. We’re a small team – everyone’s safety matters.
Keep the workshop tidy, stocked, and running efficiently.
Business Support
Talk directly to customers about jobs, finishes, and timelines when needed.
Monitor paint and material usage. Flag when stock’s low or when costs are creeping up.
Spot opportunities to improve speed, reduce waste, or upsell better finishes.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have:
5+ years spray painting experience, with time spent leading others.
Solid knowledge of water-based, and solvent paints. Good eye for colour and finish.
Able to read technical data sheets and follow spec sheets.
Valid certification for spray booth operation .
Reliable, tidy, and takes pride in work. In a family business, attitude matters as much as skill.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience running quotes, job cards, or basic workshop admin.
