Cost Engineer
Location: Newcastle
As Assystem’s Defence Infrastructure account continues to grow, we’re looking for a driven and proactive Cost Engineer to help keep our projects on track and on budget. You’ll play a key role in planning, forecasting, and reporting within a highly regulated environment.
Based in our Newcastle office, this role also benefits from our flexible “new normal” approach supporting a blend of home and office working.
Your missions:
Implement cost control processes on work packages
Prepare project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections across multiple work packages
Monitor actual costs against approved baselines, identifying trends, variances, and potential risks to cost performance
Deliver accurate, timely, and transparent cost reports
- ️ Support change control processes, including evaluation of cost impacts associated with design changes, regulatory requirements, and scope evolution
Collaborate closely with planning, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between cost, schedule, and technical scope
Create applications for payment and invoices
