Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen assistance to join our dynamic team. The Kitchen helper plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean and organised environment, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining the overall efficiency of kitchen operations. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced setting.
This role is temporary for 1 month only in July.
Ideal candidate should have the flexibility to work in the hours between 7am and 8pm. Hours will varies daily depending on business. But generally between 10 to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Help with the storage and organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and properly maintained.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
- Assist in the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and help others within the team.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial for career advancement within the culinary field.
- A passion for cooking and an interest in developing skills within a restaurant or hotel kitchen setting.
Position might become permanent for the right candidate.
