Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Booking Clerk to join our busy taxi office. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a taxi/private hire office and, in particular, have hands-on experience using the iCabbi booking and dispatch system.

Key Responsibilities

Taking and processing taxi bookings by telephone and other booking channels.
Entering and managing bookings accurately using iCabbi.
Dispatching jobs to drivers and monitoring ongoing journeys.
Communicating professionally with customers and drivers.
Managing changes, cancellations and customer enquiries.
Dealing with busy periods calmly and efficiently.
Ensuring bookings and customer information are recorded accurately.
Working as part of a team to provide an efficient and reliable service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a taxi office, private hire or similar dispatch environment.
Good working knowledge of iCabbi is essential.
Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
Good computer skills and accurate data entry.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Reliable, punctual and professional.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and/or shift patterns where required.
