Role: Crane Operator/ Factory Support Operative
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Chesterton, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST5 6BN
Pay: Competitive rates of pay available subject to candidates experience and skill set. Rate of pay will increase following satisfactory performance.
Working hours: 8:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday with two 30 min breaks. 40hrs a week. Overtime available during the week paid at 50% extra.

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking to strengthen our manufacturing team and therefore seeking a Crane Operator and Factory Support Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a stable and varied position with an opportunity to gain or enhance skills within the building and construction industry.
Full training provided and immediate start available.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
· Ensuring the factory is clean, tidy, and orderly.
- Supporting the production teams and organising stock to improve efficiency.
- Assisting when pouring concrete.
- Performing and documenting routine FLT and overhead crane inspections and maintenance activities.
- Emptying skips using forklift truck.
- Lifting panels from casting beds using overhead crane and loading them onto the racking ready for collection.
- Maintaining H&S in the workplace by following rules and procedures.
- Carrying out any additional special projects as requested by the Factory Manager.
Necessary qualities and skills:
· Positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
· Able to prioritise tasks and think on their feet.
· Eye for detail and methodical approach.
· Confident, enthusiastic, willing to get involved and be able to communicate with a wider company team.
· Previous FLT and overhead crane experience will be a distinct advantage; however full training will be provided.
