Role Description This is a full-time, Sub-Contractor, on-site Pipefitter/Welder role. Plumbers will also be considered. The Pipefitter/Welder will install, assemble, and maintain pipe systems, including cutting, threading, and fitting pipes to specifications. Daily tasks include performing TIG and other welding processes, fabricating and repairing pipework, and working with industrial systems. The role involves interpreting technical drawings and schematics, preparing materials, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The Pipefitter/Welder will collaborate with other team members on-site, participate in inspections and testing of completed work, and maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong pipe and pipefitting skills, including installation, assembly, and maintenance of industrial pipe systems.
- Candidates should possess welding skills, with experience in TIG welding (preferable, but not a requirement) and general welding techniques for fabrication and repair.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with high-pressure piping environments and associated safety practices.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in pipefitting or welding, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometric diagrams, and process schematics.
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations, including safe work practices in industrial and fabrication settings.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in varied site conditions.
