Full job description

We are a family run farm just out side the village of Gnosall which is 8 miles from Stafford. We milk 550 cows have 400 beef cattle and 16000 laying birds plus 450acres of cereals, with most of the field work done in house. We are looking for a allrounder with 20% of the time being with livestock and 80% of the time being more Tractor driving or general farm maintenance fencing etc. Basic week would be 48-50 hours but in summer over time will be available. Every other weekend working with the stock 4.30am-9.00am then back again in the afternoon 2.30pm-6.30pm. There would be a rest day in loo of the weekend normally taken on the Tuesday after, so working 11 days out of 14. Main Tractor work would be Slurry tanking with a Joskin tanker with a 12m dribble bar, other work would be tedding grass, raking grass, karting Grass/maize/bales, mucking yards out, bedding cattie, spreading FYM with bed spreader, some ploughing when we need two ploughs, sub soiling and all sorts of other jobs. There is a house available in the village which is three miles away and 24 days holiday a year
