Join ICOMAT – Revolutionising the Future of Lightweight Manufacturing!
iCOMAT is an advanced manufacturing company that invented Rapid Tow Shearing (RTS) - the only proven technology for producing defect-free curved-fiber composite parts at industrial scale. We deliver the lightest structures possible for aerospace, automotive, defense, and space, at a rate and cost efficiency that far exceeds existing composite production processes.
We build and operate automated factories for composite materials, delivering components to Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs. The business has three main divisions: development of automated production machines, development of software design and production tools, and operation of the factory. We work with 25+ customers and completed the largest ever Series A in composites manufacturing to fuel a significant scale-up, with growth plans that will see the business multiply in size over the next two to three years and expand operations into the UK, Europe and the US.
The business has currently more than 130,000 sqm of production capacity with manufacturing facilities in the UK (Gloucester and Swindon) and the US (Dayton, Ohio); a Hardware R&D Centre in Bristol, UK; and a Software R&D Centre in Athens, Greece.
Based primarily at our Gloucester site, you'll be the primary IT support presence for our UK operations, working closely with the Business Systems Manager to support users, systems, and infrastructure across Gloucester, Bristol, and Swindon.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining day-to-day technical support with wider IT operations, project work, and user enablement. You'll have significant autonomy in managing local IT support and the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure improvements, security initiatives, and technology projects.
No two days are the same. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and taking ownership of IT support in a growing business.
As iCOMAT continues to grow, this role offers a clear pathway into broader infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and project delivery responsibilities, with opportunities to help shape the future growth of the IT function.
What You'll Do
Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across hardware, software, devices, and connectivity issues for users across multiple UK sites.
Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other end-user technology.
Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user account management, permissions, and access control.
Manage Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune, including device provisioning, application deployment, security policies, and lifecycle management.
Log, prioritise, and resolve support tickets, escalating where appropriate and ensuring excellent customer service throughout.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring users have the right equipment, software, and system access from day one.
Carry out routine system maintenance and assist with basic server, network, and infrastructure support activities.
Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset records, and support procedures.
Travel between our Gloucester, Bristol, and Swindon sites to provide hands-on IT support when required.
What You'll Need
Experience working in an IT Support Engineer, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar 1st/2nd line support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
Hands-on experience managing devices using Microsoft Intune.
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, networking, and end-user devices.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
Well organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between company sites.
Work with modern Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID.
Gain experience in a diverse, multi-site IT environment.
Join a growing business where you can make a visible impact and progress your IT career.
If you're a proactive IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, and working with modern technologies, we'd love to hear from you.
Our Values: Uncompromising Excellence
Discipline over excuses. We commit. We follow through. We hold ourselves and each other to the highest standard, especially when the pressure is on.
Push the edge. iCOMAT was built on a refusal to accept that curved fiber could not be manufactured at scale. We innovate where others hesitate.
Aligned and accountable. Everyone owns their lane, communicates openly, and delivers without being chased. No silos. No ambiguity.
