ZX?Lidars is entering a bold new phase of scale, diversification and market expansion and we are searching for an exceptional Commercial Director to shape and deliver the next chapter of our commercial success.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Commercial Director will define and execute the company’s commercial strategy across products, services and global markets. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will act as the company’s senior commercial voice, ensuring strong alignment between customer needs, product direction and long-term investment priorities.

This is a rare opportunity to take a pivotal leadership role in a trusted, technology business whose lidar solutions are delivered worldwide.

While this is a senior leadership role, it is also a hands-on commercial position. The Commercial Director will be actively involved in the day-to-day rhythm of sales and business development, working closely with customers, partners and internal teams. This includes attending key trade events and industry exhibitions, representing ZX?Lidars with credibility, insight and commercial authority.

This blend of strategic leadership and real-world commercial engagement makes the role uniquely impactful. You will shape the commercial engine of a globally recognised lidar innovator while staying close to customers, opportunities and market dynamics.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have thrived in smaller, fast-moving organisations, environments where commercial leaders are close to customers, deeply involved in execution and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery. Experience within the wind and wider renewables sector would be highly advantageous, given the markets we serve, though we are equally open to commercially strong candidates from automotive, aerospace or similar high-technology, engineering-led fields where complex products, long sales cycles and technical customer engagement are central to success.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 35 hours per week, based at our modern, purpose-built facility in Willow End (Blackmore Park Road, Welland, Malvern WR13 6BD) offering a hybrid work pattern.
