About the project
We’re looking for a curious, proactive and highly organised individual to join a time-sensitive project within an engineering environment.
A key engineer will be leaving the business in the coming months, creating an urgent need to capture valuable operational knowledge before it is lost. This role will focus on working directly with engineers to understand, document and structure complex repair processes, operational workflows and technical expertise into clear documentation, training materials and digital resources.
You will initially work on-site in Bristol for the first few weeks, potentially up to a couple of months, before transitioning into a more flexible working arrangement depending on future project phases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys interviewing people, mapping processes and transforming complex information into accessible knowledge.
You do not need an engineering background. The most important qualities are curiosity, strong communication skills and the ability to organise and document information clearly. Due to the time-sensitive nature of the project, we’re looking for someone who can start immediately or at short notice.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with engineers and technical experts on-site
- Conduct interviews and gather operational knowledge
- Observe and document gearbox repair processes and workflows
- Identify knowledge gaps across engineering teams
- Organise and structure information into clear documentation
- Support the creation of training materials and digital knowledge resources
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate findings and ensure accuracy
- Help establish a scalable knowledge base for future teams

- Fluent in Polish and English
- Based in the UK and available to travel to Bristol
- An excellent communicator who isn’t afraid to ask questions
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable learning technical subject matter quickly

Relevant backgrounds may include
- Service design
- Business analysis
- Process improvement
- Knowledge management
- Technical documentation
- Training or instructional design
- Operations or project coordination
- Research and interview-based roles
Why join this project?
- Unique opportunity to work at the intersection of research, operations and knowledge management
- Significant autonomy and ownership
- Potential for more flexible working arrangements after the initial on-site phase
- Opportunity to shape how critical organisational knowledge is preserved and shared
