Job Purpose
Lead business analysis activities within a SaaS environment, combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. Responsible for shaping product requirements and ensuring high-quality delivery through detailed user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and QA support. The role will work closely with Product, Development, QA and customers to ensure solutions meet both business and user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end requirements engineering across complex product and client initiatives
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Write detailed user stories, epics and features ready for development
- Create comprehensive use cases including edge cases and alternative flows
- Define clear, testable acceptance criteria
- Own backlog refinement and ensure Definition of Ready is met
- Collaborate closely with QA to validate test cases and support UAT activities
- Perform functional validation of delivered features
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, refinement and sprint reviews
- Manage senior stakeholders and act as a bridge between business and technical teams
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practice across the BA function
- Collaborate with client SMEs both remotely and on-site when required
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' Business Analyst experience in SaaS or software environments
- Strong experience writing user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria
- Experience working closely with QA and software testing processes
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
- Experience working with data-driven products, system integrations or reporting platforms would be advantageous
