About the Role
This is a waking night role within a supported living house, where you’ll oversee the safety, wellbeing, and routine of residents between 20:00 and 08:00.
You’ll work independently throughout the night, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, ensuring a calm, structured, and safe environment.This is more than supervision—it’s about empathy, awareness, and being the person someone can rely on during their most vulnerable hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight support and reassurance to residents
- Monitor wellbeing and respond calmly to any situations or incidents
- Maintain accurate records and complete nightly reports
- Support with routines, including medication prompts where required
- Ensure the property remains safe, secure, and well-managed
- Carry out regular checks and risk assessments
- Work proactively and independently throughout the shift
What We’re Looking For
- Essential experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
- A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions overnight
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence, access to a car, and business use insurance (essential)
- Reliability and commitment to consistent night shifts
