Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Receptionist to join our reception team to provide support to the doctors, health professionals and management team.

The post holder will need to be confident, organised, have an ability to multitask and have excellent communication skills.

PLEASE NOTE, this role is working over 3 days Monday-Wednesday. Hours would be:

Monday 08:30 - 18:00

Tuesday 08:30 - 18:00

Wednesday 08:30 -13:30

Employee must be able to cover holiday and sickness.

Job Responsibilities:

Dealing with a high demand of telephone enquiries
Booking patient appointments
Greeting patients at the front desk
Monitor emails, workflow and tasks
Be able to operate our clinical computer system - SystmOne
Ensuring that medical records are updated
Flexibility in working overtime and covering sickness
Maintain your own professional development

Essential skills:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Customer service qualification or equivalent
Experience of working within a GP practice
Knowledge of SystmOne clinical system
High level of written and oral communication skills
Computer literate
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently
