Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor (Seasonal – Summer Position)
Location: Redruth, Cornwall
Company: Abbotts Event Hire
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary / Seasonal (Summer Contract) Possibility to stay on for right person
Salary: £13.50 per hour

About You

Previous experience loading vans is essential for this role
Full UK driving licence is essential
Previous warehouse, logistics or supervisory experience preferred
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Confident supervising teams and maintaining high standards
Positive, hands-on approach and willingness to support the wider team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment

Key Responsibilities

Support the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of warehouse operations
Supervise and support warehouse staff and drivers
Organise and oversee loading and unloading of event vehicles
Ensure vans are loaded accurately, safely and efficiently for each event
Oversee driver paperwork and delivery documentation
Assist with equipment testing and quality control processes
Oversee cleaning standards across warehouse operations and equipment preparation
Ensure returned equipment is checked, cleaned and stored correctly
Maintain excellent warehouse organisation and housekeeping standards
Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and inventory counts
Support and guide seasonal warehouse team members
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and warehouse processes
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Support delivery of exceptional service to customers
Occasional driving to support deliveries and collections when required

Supporting our Warehouse Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front and keeping operations running smoothly during our peak events period. You’ll play an important role in ensuring equipment is prepared, loaded and delivered to the high standards our customers expect.
