Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the smooth operation of the clinic. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their career within a professional dental environment. The role is paid and suitable for those with relevant qualifications or experience in dental nursing.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile.
Provide high-quality patient care, offering reassurance and support throughout their visit.
Prepare treatment rooms before appointments, including sterilising equipment and setting up necessary tools.
Take and develop dental radiographs as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information in the practice management system.
Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Offer post-treatment advice and instructions to patients, ensuring they understand aftercare procedures.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence when needed.

Experience

Previous experience in dental nursing or a related healthcare role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of patient care practices within a clinical setting.
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism at all times. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional patient care within a supportive dental team environment.
