Full job description

We have an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established GP Practice with a friendly and supportive team.

Previous experience preferred but not essential.

Experience with EMIS clinical system desirable but not essential.

Available for face to face interview essential. We do not provide sponsorship.

Full on-site training will be provided.

Holiday entitlement - 25 days per annum plus 10 days public holidays (pro rata)

Office hours of work as detailed:-

Monday - all day

Tuesday - afternoon

Wednesday - morning

Thursday - all day

Friday - all day

Opportunity to advance to Senior Administrator/Receptionist

Essential Criteria

5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including English Language
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Keyboard and computer skills

Job Summary

To achieve the aims and corporate objectives of the practice by carrying out reception, telephone and clerical duties competently and efficiently.
To provide a point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors and other health personnel.
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective manner.
Provide general assistance to the Surgery team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or on the telephone.

Pay: £12.91-£14.20 per hour
