Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality metal products. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication, seeking to develop their career further.

Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication processes.
Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in TIG welding and general welding techniques.
Strong knowledge of <LOCATION> welding standards and practices.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience working with sheet metal and performing basic assembly tasks.
Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work.
Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Prior experience in fabrication or mechanical roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks as needed. This role offers an engaging environment for skilled welders/fabricators eager to apply their expertise in a professional setting while continuing to develop their craft within a supportive team.

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Newry, County Down: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
