Overview
Busy pre-cast yard in Tandragee area seeking general operative to carry out precast concrete finishing. Starting wage dependant on age and experience however all training will be given to carry out the role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials, ensuring safe handling at all times
- Supporting the preparation and clean-up of work areas before and after tasks
- Moving supplies, equipment, and materials around the site as required
- Assisting tradespeople and other team members with their duties when necessary
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work environment
- Following health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries
- Reporting any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly
- Working with prestressing equipment and strand would be advantageous but no essential.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence essential and own means of transport.
- Previous experience in manual labour or construction is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manual labour environment
- Reliable attendance record and punctuality
- Must be aged 18 or over to ensure compliance with safety regulations
