Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards
Lead food production activities, maintaining consistency and efficiency in food preparation
Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly adhered to, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to minimise waste and control costs
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and seasonal offerings

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining high standards of quality

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
