Full job description

We’re looking for an experienced Assembly Fitter to join our workshop team at Oakleaf Forestry. This is a practical, hands-on role involving the fitting and assembly of components and machinery, working from drawings and instructions, and helping ensure finished equipment is built to a high standard.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in the production process, operating CNC plasma cutting machinery to produce high-quality steel components used in fabrication and bespoke machinery builds.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assemble and fit components, parts and machinery within our workshop
Work from engineering drawings, instructions and specifications
Carry out general fitting, drilling, bolting and mechanical assembly work
Check finished work for quality, accuracy and correct fit
Work alongside our fabrication and engineering teams to keep jobs moving
Help identify and resolve practical fitting or assembly issues
