CanDo Laundry Services is looking for a motivated Production Supervisor to join our team at Unit 4, Kenfig Industrial Estate, Port Talbot, SA13 2PE.
This is a full-time, permanent role paying £13.75 per hour, working 40 hours per week. Shifts may include 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend availability required when needed.
This is a great opportunity for either an experienced supervisor or a senior operator who is ready to take the next step into leadership. You will help lead and motivate production operators, maintain workflow, support training, monitor output, and help ensure daily production targets and health and safety standards are met.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, willing to learn, and able to lead by example in a busy production environment. Full training and development support will be provided.
This role is based on site only. Remote work is not available.

Role Purpose
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the production floor, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with customer, quality, and operational requirements.
The role involves leading and motivating production operators, maintaining workflow, supporting training, monitoring output, achieving daily production targets, and ensuring health and safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
This is a hands-on supervisory role suitable for either an experienced supervisor or a senior operator ready to move into leadership. Full training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their supervisory and management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Production Supervision
- Support the day-to-day running of the production floor.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of production operators.
- Allocate work and help maintain workflow across the production area.
- Monitor production activity to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
- Support the achievement of daily production targets and KPIs.
- Help oversee the start-up and shut-down of shifts.
- Identify and escalate production delays, quality issues, staffing concerns, or equipment problems.
- Support the smooth handover of information between shifts and departments where required.
Team Leadership and Training
- Lead by example and promote positive standards of conduct, attendance, timekeeping, and teamwork.
- Support employees with day-to-day questions, training, and safe working processes.
- Help train new and existing employees on production tasks, machinery, procedures, and Company standards.

- Support continuous improvement by suggesting practical ways to improve production processes.
- Help ensure customer items are processed correctly and in line with Company standards.

- Promote and maintain safe working practices across the production area.
- Ensure employees follow health and safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Support good housekeeping, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
- Report hazards, near misses, accidents, equipment faults, or unsafe working practices promptly.
- Ensure machinery is used only by trained employees and in line with Company procedures.
- Support a safe start-up and shut-down process for shifts.
Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate clearly with production operators, managers, and other departments.
- Provide updates on workflow, staffing, production issues, and operational concerns.
- Work closely with colleagues to support production requirements and customer service.
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach when dealing with employees, managers, and colleagues.

- Previous experience in a production, laundry, warehouse, manufacturing, cleaning, hospitality, or similar hands-on environment.
