Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team and assist the Technical Manager ensuring that all areas of Quality Assurance are adhered to throughout the premises, that all staff and management are aware of their responsibilities and that SALSA and customer standards are implemented, followed and maintained.
To support Technical Manager with a transition to BRCGS accreditation.
This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours, however the shift must start at midday.
Responsibilities
- Daily, weekly, monthly quality assurance & procedural checks
- Ensure strong GMP, hygiene standards and environmental monitoring
- Support Technical Manager with all aspects of third-party, customer and regulatory audits
- Support Technical Manager with a transition to BRCGS accreditation
- Manage environmental swabs, hand swabs and water sampling for microbiological analysis
- Manage retained samples -logging, storage, organization and disposal when required
- Daily laboratory equipment checks & temperature checks
- Laboratory sample analysis – Brix, pH, ABV, density, SO2
- Distribution, collation, checking and filing of applicable documentation
- On-line QA checks and completion of applicable documentation
- Work closely with production teams to help resolve any quality issues and improve processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance or technical role within the food or beverage manufacturing
- Advanced HACCP and Food Safety Qualification
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and allergens
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Good communication skills
- Relevant certifications in quality management are preferred
This is a hands on technical role which requires a highly self motivated indiviudal who is committed to growing the business and who has the ability to work proactively.
Pay: Up to £27,000.00 per year
