Summary
We are seeking a Delivery Driver/Yard Worker to join our team in Condover. This role is vital in supporting our operations by managing stock, assisting with deliveries, and maintaining a safe and organised yard environment. Your contribution will help us uphold our commitment to excellent service.
Responsibilities:
Delivery Duties
- Safely load, transport, and deliver agricultural products (e.g., feed, bedding, fencing, and equipment) to customers.
- Ensure accurate order checking and paperwork completion.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Maintain delivery vehicles in clean, roadworthy condition and report any issues promptly.
Yard Duties
- Assist with loading/unloading customer vehicles and company deliveries.
- Organise, stock, and maintain yard inventory.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery (training provided if required).
- Keep the yard clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Valid and clean UK driving license
- Previous experience in delivery driving or yard work preferred.
- Knowledge of local area desired but not essential.
- Experience of towing trailers (advantageous but not essential)
- Forklift license desirable (training can be arranged).
- Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift heavy items safely.
- Strong teamwork and flexibility to support different areas of the business.
