Full job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with proven experience in a busy administrative role. The successful candidate will be well-organised, adaptable, and able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. Strong IT proficiency is essential, with a confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. You will be dependable and capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties of Post will include:

Processing and completing picking lists using Sage 200 system; Supporting Stores Team Leader and Logistics Manager with administrative tasks; Assisting in the coordination of daily stores operations to ensure efficiency within the department; Adhere at all times to Company Health and Safety policies and procedures; Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment within the Stores area and office, reporting any hazards, incidents or near misses promptly in line with company procedures; Participate in all mandatory training required for the role and ensure skills and knowledge remain up to date; Support continuous improvement by applying learning and development within daily responsibilities.

Essential criteria for this role:-

Previous experience in a busy administration role; Strong IT knowledge and ability to work across applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) /Sage 200; Strong organisational and time management skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Analytical and numerate with meticulous attention to detail.

Desirable criteria:-

Experience of working with hauliers in a distribution or logistics environment; Previous experience/knowledge in the use of a stock management system; Experience within a food manufacturing environment; Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Access.

Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
