Senior Sous Chef-

Location: Maision Francois, St James
Employment Type: Full-Time, 45 hour contract, Paid overtime
Salary: 54k-60k

We are looking for our new Senior Sous chef to develop into our new Head chef at Maison Francois. For an experienced Senior sous ready to become a Head Chef within a year this is a great year for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations.
Lead and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive, professional team culture.
Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
Contribute to menu planning, specials, and seasonal updates.
Deputise for the Head Chef during absence.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy, high-standard kitchen.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Passion for creativity, sustainability, and exceptional food.
Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
