Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Roofer specialising in solar panel installation to join our dynamic install team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in roofing , with the ability to interpret schematics and operate various power and hand tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality installation of solar panels on residential and commercial properties. Applicants should be comfortable with heavy lifting and working at heights, demonstrating safety consciousness and attention to detail. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about renewable energy and sustainable construction practices.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems suitable for solar panel mounting, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to execute precise installations.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to prepare surfaces and assemble mounting structures.
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as panels, racking systems, and roofing components safely and efficiently.
Conduct site inspections to assess structural integrity prior to installation work.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing, or general construction work is essential.
Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings related to roofing or solar panel systems is highly desirable.
Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of construction safety protocols and working at heights is required.
Experience with heavy lifting tasks in a construction setting is preferred.
