Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be part of a busy Civils team with responsibility for the supervision of a Civils Mate.
You will travel across the UK to oversee all aspects of groundworks and foundation installation for Newgate equipment, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, coordinate, and motivate a small team to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Groundworks Operations: Oversee all site preparation, excavation, foundations
- Technical Compliance: Read, interpret, and work accurately to engineering drawings
- Management: Manage daily schedules and report operational progress back to management
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary site contact, communicating with the Contracts Team, internal departments and customers
- Health & Safety: Enforce safe working practices and policies. Ensure equipment checks are completed, correct PPE is worn, and risk assessments are followed
- Admin & Housekeeping: Maintain accurate weekly records of team hours, expenses, and site documentation while ensuring high standards of site housekeeping
- CSCS Card (Supervisor level preferred)
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
- NPORS Card (Mini Digger and Forward Tipping Dumper)
- Streetworks (NRSWA Operative or Supervisor)
- Travel: Frequent travel throughout the UK with regular overnight stays.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends to meet project deadlines.
- Licence: Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Background Check: Willing to undergo a Basic DBS check upon appointment.
- Legal Status: Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
