Andrea Hawkes is a wedding dress designer based in Islington London.
We are looking for seamstresses and makers based in and around Norwich.
We are looking for a professional individuals to join our team.
The role will involve all aspects of making bespoke and collection dresses. With its modern, clean yet classic aesthetic - impeccable sewing skills is a must.
Applicants must have experience in the following:
- Making and finishing couture bridal and evening wear dresses to a high standard.
- They must have experience of working with luxury delicate silk fabrics.
- Couture sewing techniques.
- Able to pin hem by machine
- French seam
- Drape on stand
- Moulding lace and fabrics
- Hand make button and loops
- Able to make alterations after fittings and communicate well with the fitter and team members.
- Helping with developing new collection pieces.
- sampling and making standard size dresses.
- Reading and understanding of patterns and fabrics
- Sewing zips in
- We have a high level of bespoke orders so must be adaptable to work on custom pieces.
General personal skills:
- Can do attitude
- Good spoken and able to read English
- Enjoys working in a small close knit team
- Good organisational skills.
- Works well as part of a team and is capable of showing junior team members skills and techniques.
- Minimum 3 years experience.
- Able to work efficiently to deadlines
- Friendly
